A concert is not a club
This an off-topic subject for today.
Scott and I went to the Faith Hill/Tim McGraw concert last night. Other than Tim seemed a little hoarse, I thought it was really good. Faith Hill can really sing. We had great seats, too. Just three rows up off of the floor. It's fun to sit around people that are really giddy and excited. Behind us there were some "tween" girls in cowboy hats and in front of us there was a group of 40-something women who were on their girls' night out. The were abuzz with excitement as we waited for the lights to finally go down. In the first row off of the floor, and directly in my line of sight to the stage(s) was THAT couple. You know the ones that feel the need to get drunk and make out for the entire concert? Obnoxious. Disgusting. From the get-go, these two were ALL over each other. He was much older than she, in her VERY low cut tube top and bottle blonde hair. The women in front of me were appalled as well. FINALLY, the woman in front of me asked them to stop. They kind of laughed, but managed to contain themselves until the encores of "Let's Make Love" and "It's Your Love." They just couldn't help it, I suppose. At one point, I noticed Barbie flipping off a guy in the floor seats, so I think he may have been an old flame that she was trying to make jealous. They were quite an easy target to spot.
On the other hand, there was another couple who very appropriately slow danced during those songs. They were really sweet.
Thanks to Scott for enduring the country music for me. He bought me the tickets this week. So sweet.
